The international protection of commercial credit after the pandemic, EJNita-Building Bridges project
The course, the second in a series of thematic in-depth studies on judicial cooperation in civil and commercial matters to be carried out in 2021, is part of the EJNita-Building Bridges project, co-financed by the European Union and led by the Italian Ministry of Justice in collaboration with the Italian School for the Judiciary, Italian National Council of Notaries, the University of Ferrara and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan.
The course deals with issues related to the international protection of commercial credit, in particular the circulation and enforcement of securities in the European judicial area, also taking into account the critical issues related to the pandemic.
The economic recovery after the pandemic crisis is indeed characterised by a condition of great financial fragility of companies, with consequent repercussions on international trade relations. The tools offered to creditor companies to enforce their claims against debtors based abroad or who have assets abroad that can be usefully attacked for enforcement purposes, and to prevent the risks of insolvency, are analysed.
